psychotherapy & consultation
practicing psychotherapy for over twenty-five years, i am continually inspired by the simple and transformative process of putting feelings into words. individually, we tend to become stuck in self-limiting and even self-destructive loops. working collaboratively, we move toward what one most wants and yet fears in a counterintuitive, vulnerable, and yet profoundly generative journey. as an existential and psychodynamically oriented psychotherapist, I am particularly attuned to what feels most broken and, however painful, is equally vital in living a life connected to ourselves and to others. in my clinical practice, i work primarily with adults in individual and relationship counseling, addressing the "stuff of life," including collective and personal trauma, loss and family of origin issues, physical and psychological differences and disabilities, untangling identity from rigid and repressive social norms, and the perennial questions of belonging, becoming, and contributing to a more loving world.
